 pirates at sea

  • Located on the Navigational chart in Part Three.
  • To challenge a pirate, move your ship to it on the chart. If this is the first time you challenge him, you will come to a ship combat scene.
  • In Easy Ship Combat, you only have to hit the enemy once with your cannonballs. To switch between the ship combat modes, talk to McMutton on Deck.
  • When you have defeated the ship, you will begin the sword duel.
  • Select an insult and see if the opponent knows the answer. If he does, you will learn the answer, and it's his turn to insult. If he doesn't know the answer, it's your turn again. Beat him three times to win the duel.
  • When you have won the duel, you get his treasures, and you can buy cannons at the Plunder Town Harbor.
  • Every insult has one answer. Whenever the opponent uses a phrase, you will learn it, and can use it in duels. Make sure to get as many phrases as possible.
  • The phrases are the following. The first phrase is the insult, and the second is the answer. There are sixteen different sets of insults.
    • Every enemy I've met I've annihilated!
With your breath, I'm sure they all suffocated.
    • You're as repulsive as a monkey in a negligee.
I look THAT much like your fiancée?
    • Killing you would be justifiable homicide!
Then killing you must be justifiable fungicide.
    • You're the ugliest monster ever created!
If you don't count all the ones you've dated.
    • I'll skewer you, like a sow at a buffet!
When I'm done with YOU, you'll be a boneless fillet.
    • Would you like to be buried or cremated?
With you around, I'd prefer to be fumigated.
    • When your father first saw you, he must have been mortified.
At least mine can be identified.
    • I'll leave you devastated, mutilated and perforated.
Your odor alone makes me aggravated, agitated and infuriated.
    • I have never seen such clumsy swordplay.
You would have, but you were always running away.
    • Heaven preserve me! You look like something that's died!
The only way you'll be preserved is in formaldehyde.
    • I'll hound you night and day!
Then be a good dog. Sit! Stay!
    • I can't rest 'til you've been exterminated!
Then perhaps you should switch to decaffeinated.
    • En garde! Touché!
      Oh, that is so cliché!
    • Throughout the Caribbean, my great deeds are celebrated.
      Too bad they're all fabricated.
    • Coming face to face with me must leave you petrified!
Is that your face? I thought it was your backside.
    • You can't match my witty repartee!
I could, if you would use some breath spray.
  • When you get insulted, use the right answer to get the advantage.
  • When you think you have enough practise, you have to challenge Captain Rottingham to get back the map.
